Following his record at Liverpool since joining the Anfield club, Mohamed Salah is already regarded as one of the best wingers in Premier League history, attracting comparisons to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Ryan Giggs, and the likes. Salah probably didn’t see a day like this coming when he was at Chelsea given that he was rarely given a chance to prove himself and show what he was truly capable of. Under José Mourinho’s tenure at Stamford Bridge, a lot of talented players were allowed to leave the club, including Salah.
He agreed to a move to Anfield and immediately became immensely loved by the Reds fans as he kept scoring goals after goals in his debut season. In his first campaign with Liverpool, he won the Premier League golden boot with over 30 goals and he has not stopped there.
He continued his fine scoring streak in the next season and he can now boast of being a UEFA Champions League goal medalist thanks to some of the important goals he has been able to score under Jurgen Klopp. He has formed a strong partnership with fellow African forward Sadio Mane at Liverpool and they were key men as they helped the club win a first Premier League title in over 30 years. With Salah’s contributions and achievements, many believe he is the African version of Argentine superstar Lionel Messi.
