African football star Mohamed Salah was on song as his Liverpool side won the Community Shield this year by beating Manchester City. The two teams met at the King Power Stadium, the home of Leicester City, to determine who will succeed the Foxes as Community Shield winners. Leicester City won last year’s Community Shield by beating Manchester City 1-0 thanks to the late goal from Nigerian star Kelechi Iheanacho.

The Community Shield is contested by the winners of the FA Cup and the Premier League. Manchester City won the Premier League title for the fourth time in five seasons last season, while Liverpool beat Chelsea on penalties in the FA Cup final to win the competition after the two teams had played goalless in 120 minutes.
